Maxi dresses

Another summer staple, which doesn't require shaved legs. I always like something that doesn't require effort.
Last year, I was looking for the perfect plain black maxi dress. This year, I was tossing up between a coral dress or a maxi with a frill front. You know, the spaghetti strapped (or strapless) with the frilly bit, and then straight down? Or both. I managed to sort of find both, but changed my mind. I'm regretting it now. The coral was at Target, the frilly was at Myer. I think I bypassed the Myer because I didn't think it would fit (lesson learned: always try stuff on), and I bypassed the coral because I'd already started planning my winter wardrobe and bought a sequinned blazer instead. Siiigh.
For those of you without regrets, what does your favourite maxi look like? Have you found one yet?
For those still looking in store, Autograph has a bunch on sale, Target as well. Big W still has a few, as does City Chic. My standouts are the ones at Myer, particularly in the Monroe and Estelle brands. I really feel these two brands get young, but not juvenile dressing right. I especially like that they have tank style maxis, along with the triangle and cross-over bust ones.

No More Mumus
That was my plan last year! Less dressy, more casual. Now I want more dressy ones. Oh, who am I kidding? I just want more in general!
